Harshvardhan Rane on bagging Sanam Teri Kasam
Given that it’s Valentine’s Week, we wished Harshvardhan a ‘Happy Teddy Day’ and spoke about Sanam Teri Kasam’s elevator scene where Rane’s character helps Mawra Hocane’s Saru out of her bear costume. Sharing an interesting anecdote about that scene, the actor revealed, “That was my audition. You’ve put your finger on a very sensitive topic.”
He then continues, “That was my audition, which I had to beg for because they had already cast someone else for this role. I had to beg them to take my audition because I was very convinced about this film and my role. They said, ‘You’re wasting our time’, but I kept requesting. They said the boy who’s cast is sitting in the other office. I said, ‘Yes, but can you please see my audition at least?’ Then, I forced my way in and somehow managed to do the audition. They saw it and asked me to do it again. And I did it again. Then they went in and came out and hugged me and said, ‘You’re doing the film.’ So, yeah, that’s how I got the film.”
He concluded by saying, “That was the teddy bear scene, so happy teddy day.”
